About Havenmere
A Calm Place for the Conversations That Count
Havenmere was founded to give families a steady, well-informed space to think through what matters — without hurry, and without pressure.
Back to HomeOur Story
Founded on Listening
Havenmere came together in Phuket after its founders noticed the same pattern across many expatriate and local families: the hardest part of sorting out household matters was rarely the paperwork itself. It was finding the right moment to begin, and knowing how to talk about it with the people who mattered most.
From that observation, Havenmere was built around one steady idea — that families deserve a warm, well-prepared space to have these conversations, guided by plain language and genuine care. Not legal counsel. Not financial advice. Simply a thoughtful companion for the preparatory work that makes those conversations possible.
Today, Havenmere works with households across the Phuket region — Thai families, long-term expat residents, and international families visiting for extended periods. Each session is shaped around the family's own pace and priorities.

To help every family in our community feel more prepared, more connected, and more at ease when they sit down to talk about what lies ahead.

How We Work
Our Standards and Protocols
Every aspect of a Havenmere session is shaped by a clear set of principles that we follow consistently.
Strict Confidentiality
Everything shared in a session stays within Havenmere. We have a clear data-handling policy and never pass information to third parties without explicit consent.
Clear Scope of Service
We are educators and communicators, not advisors. Whenever a matter requires a qualified professional, we say so clearly and help families find the right direction.
Ongoing Facilitator Development
Havenmere team members regularly participate in communication skills development and family support education to keep our approach informed and current.
Responsible Information Handling
All printed materials are prepared securely and any personal details shared during a session are stored in accordance with our privacy commitments.
Feedback-Shaped Practice
Families are invited to share what worked well and what could improve. That input directly shapes how future sessions are structured and delivered.
No-Pressure Principle
Families decide the pace. We never encourage a family to move faster than they are ready, and we do not apply any urgency to decisions that belong to them.
Family Communication Support in Phuket
Havenmere operates from the heart of Phuket's Talat Yai neighbourhood, offering a range of supportive educational programmes for families who want to approach sensitive household matters with more confidence and less confusion. Our work sits at the intersection of family communication, plain-language information sharing, and practical organisation.
The families we support often come to us during periods of change — a parent ageing, a household relocating, a family member wanting to get their affairs in better order. Each situation is personal. Our role is to offer a structured, warm space where families can talk, ask questions, and leave with clear materials they can refer to going forward.
Havenmere does not replace solicitors, accountants, financial planners, or health professionals. Our value lies upstream of those conversations — helping families arrive at them informed, cohesive, and ready. That early preparation is something many families say they wish they had done sooner.
For international families living in Thailand, navigating unfamiliar processes in a second language adds another layer of complexity. Havenmere's sessions are conducted in English and draw on a working familiarity with the Thai context, making information more accessible for those who have not grown up in the local system.
